VistulArt という名前の裏には私たち 2 人がいます。Dagmara と Dariusz は、ポーランドのワルシャワ出身の前衛的な独学アーティストで、一緒に活動しています。アーティストデュオとして、ミシン糸だけで「描いた」型破りな作品を制作しています。ステージの外でも私生活でも私たちがカップルであることは周知の事実です。実際、アートは 14 年以上前に私たちを結びつけ、今の私たちを導いたものの 1 つです。

私たちの作品はそれぞれ、合板、その端に沿って配置された数百本の鋼鉄釘、そしてそれらの間に描かれたさまざまな色、種類、太さの何マイルにもわたる交差糸の 3 つの固定コンポーネントのみで作成されます。ペイント技術は一切使用せず、スレッドのみが画像全体の作成を担当します。

私たちのストリング作品は、ニューメディアとアルゴリズムアートの境界線にある現代アートと定義できます。これを作成するには、フォトリアルでカラフルなストリングアートと呼ばれるあまり知られていないテクニックを使用します。利用可能なノウハウやすぐに使えるツールが不足しており、その結果として独自の手法を開発する必要があるため、この種のストリングアートは、世界で数人のアーティストだけが習得している、要求が厳しく労働集約的なテクニックとなっています。
